"Back in the time of the Sage of the Six Paths, a group of people came together. They were all special, and served a god that no one else believed in. They called Her the Sun. The Light. They were the Knights of the Sun, so named by the Sage himself. However, during a battle against the darkness, She tried to protect them... Until She learned that She had been betrayed by Her lieutenant - nay, the man She loved.
Power tempts those weak of heart. Than there are those who are strong enough to know when to take it. Some say he was weak, some say strong. The power of a god is tempting, but if you can take control of it... Her lieutenant betrayed Her. He had risen to power and planned on taking Her's by sealing Her. And Her Knights joined Him.
In mortal form, She fled to the Sage and requested his help. Angry at such a betrayal, he agreed to help Her. A 'war' waged on, and the Knights were always the ones to take losses. And sure enough, the god and the Sage of the Six Paths fell in love.
Time passed, and the dark pressed on... And then they claimed Her. The Lieutenant took control of Her power in front of the Sage. Knowing he couldn't let Him continue on, he sealed them. The Lieutenant and his love, together, in a long forgotten cavern where no one could reach or ever get to again. And there She rests, waiting for the end of time.
As for the Knights, the Sage banished them, knowing he could not kill them, for they had been manipulated... And here they are, ready to help us."

When Orochimaru is killed by the hands of Uchiha Sasuke, it is believed that he will return to Konoha. Instead, he joins Akatsuki with the wish to destroy the village he once called home. However, through unlikely events, the leader of Akatsuki, Uchiha Madara, is recreating legend. Finding and enlisting the aid of the Knights of the Sun, an ancient order, Madara declares war on Konoha. His plan, though, goes beyond anything he has revealed to his organization. Goes far beyond anything anyone would expect.
In a cavern near the Land of Iron, a time-old power has begun to awaken. The Goddess once known as the Sun, or Taiyo, has been merged with Ankoku, the Darkness, Her old Lieutenant. Now, Madara has taken charge of the Knights and plans on attacking Konoha to divert attention... His real plan, is to awaken the combined Darkness and Sun to take their power for himself.
To do so, however, requires someone with the heart of the Sage of the Six Paths himself. Someone who could be considered the reincarnation, someone whom the Light would see as a love and savior... Someone named Uzumaki Naruto.
